A year ago, Goodlux Outdoor opened its doors with one big belief: that your backyard should be the best room in your house.
On March 6, we celebrated turning one — and we did it the only way that felt right. Outside. Under the pergola. With the people who've made this first year possible.
There was great food, good music, and a lot of laughter under those louvered blades. The kind of evening that reminds you exactly why outdoor living matters — not as a feature, not as a product, but as a feeling.

Why We Celebrate This Way
We didn't choose outside because it was the obvious move. We chose it because it was the only thing that felt true. We spend every day helping families build spaces designed for exactly this kind of evening — and when it came time to celebrate ours, we wanted to be right in the middle of one.
Under the same structure we believe in. With our own people. Living the same life we're inviting our clients into. That felt right in a way a rented room never could have.
What This First Year Taught Us
We've had the privilege of helping DFW families transform their backyards into spaces they actually use. Not just on perfect weather days — but on hot Texas afternoons, during unexpected rainstorms, and on cool winter evenings that would've otherwise pushed everyone inside.
What we've learned is this: when your outdoor space is designed right, it doesn't just add square footage to your home. It changes the way your family lives.
Some people come to us with a picture already in their mind — dinners outside without the bugs, mornings with coffee and fresh air, evenings with friends that don't end because it got too hot.
